Tamagotchi Versions 2 and Version 3 differences
I am often asked what are the differences between version 2 and version 3 tamagotchis. We have both in our family. I hope to add a version 4 soon! All the differences will be explored!
In version 3, there is a lot more online interaction with the Tamagotchi. When using Version 3, you will occasionally receive 'passwords' that when entered online give you special items to give to your digital pet.
On version 2 you can only connect with a version 2. A version 3 can only connect with a version 3. Although, on a version 3 it does show a version 2, we have never been able to get them to connect. Because of that, we have to rely on the matchmaker to begin another generation.
For both version 2 and version 3, you can go online to www.tamagotchi.com and see what the black and white pets look like in color. This adds a lot of depth to the 2d experience!
In tamagotchi town there is an arcade, a school, and other delights. You can go to the cafe and stuff like that, like the mall, and you can get things like burgers from the cafe and then entered the code into your tamagotchi and give the treats right to it. This only works in version three!
According to my sources, there is now a version 4 and the web site is ready to go!
Online, you earn point for playing the games which can then be used to shop with to buy the items for your digital pet.
Some of the games you can play local are Bump, Jump, Get and Sprint. For bump, my daughter just presses the middle button really fast. For jump, she starts off pressing button c (right) b (middle), and then a (right). She says she gets a lot of points playing jump.
