Some of my favorite things to do
I love to watch the TV show 'The Biggest Loser' while totally pigging out. Tonight I ate almost a whole jar of salsa with Blue Corn Tortilla Chips, and then followed it up with a big bowl of Peppermint Stick Ice Cream. I can't explain the joy I have while eating like mad and listening to people talk about their changed lives. It's almost sick.
I like to use google fight to settle disputes about how text should appear on a website. Should it be "case sensitive" or "case-sensitive"? Using google fight, we find that "case sensitive" appears on websites around 23 million times while "case-sensitive" is only 200 thousand times. Should it be Email or E-mail? E-mail. How about E-mail or e-mail? It's a tie. Apparently the fight is not "case sensitive"!
I like to read books that people give me. I am currently reading Fight Club from my friend ratlaw and An Inconvenient Book from thegrace. The book 'An Inconvenient Book' is written by Glenn Beck. I have some cool cousins with the last name Beck. Glenn is not one of them. Although, here is a direct quote from his book where he is discussing (dem)global warming - (rep)climate change: "Because methane cycles out of the atmosphere in less than one-twelfth the time that CO2 does, avoiding meat is a far quicker and more efficient way of cutting greenhouse gases. I am enjoying reading the book, but in a weird way of listening to someone who appears to want to write a book about something, but doesn't care what they write about, or whether they have any knowledge on the subject. He goes from praising his wife in chapter 2 (apparently he recognizes that she puts up with him in such a way most people don't) to likening having more than one wife as 'punishment enough' in chapter three.
I love to get together with my friends. I love to get together with my family. Somehow, I was surprised with both of those things for my birthday. To all of you that were there, thank you so much for easing me into 40 in a way that I will remember always. It was a fantastic evening.
If you were unable to be there, I am sorry that you missed it, and I invite you to a party 40 years from now. Because if I make 80, I'll be just as surprised as everyone else!
Current Wii game is Tomb Raider: Anniversary. Fun so far.
