It sounded like a good idea at the time
When I got the e-mail at work asking if anyone would like to be a judge for the company cookie bake-off, I replied with an immediate yes. It sounded like a little piece of heaven to be a cookie judge.
The judging started at 11 o'clock. I was one of three. There were 14 different kinds of cookies.
The coordinator of the event had supplied milk! What a great idea. I poured myself a tall glass and got ready to judge.
There were snickerdoodles, sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, cranberry oatmeal raisin cookies, and many other kinds. After the first five, I started breaking the cookies in half.
By the time I got to the 14th cookie, I didn't think I would want another cookie this season. However, I ultimately chose the 14th cookie as the best one. It was a cheesecake cookie. I don't normally go for cheesecake. However, this cookie was soft and had an awesome filling. It was dreamy.I lugged myself back to my desk and began questioning if I ever wanted to be a cookie judge again. It was a neat experience, but I can't eat my lunch!
