News to me
China is banning the usage of those throwaway plastic bags. That seems good. They use oil. Plastic uses oil. So to stop the excessive pollution because of all the bags they are banning the bags as of June 1st. Shopkeepers offering the bags for free may be fined or have their profits confiscated. It was news to me that there were Chinese shopkeepers that could have profits. I totally have no idea what kind of government is going on over there. I didn't think a shopkeeper could profit.
Robert McFerrin has a two-point plan for transcendent happiness.
I'm glad that I didn't put the Ron Paul bumper sticker on my car. Although I believe him when he says the racist allegations are lies, I know that the casual association of a bumper sticker with my car will cause anyone who believes him to be a racist will believe me to be one as well. Have you stopped beating your wife?
Stories like this one about President Bush and a pocket veto surprises me more in my lack of interest than of the validity of the content. I feel ransacked by stories like this. I mean, I am totally convinced on the ramifications of this presidency. I am totally convinced about how much all other politicians pretty much suck. There isn't any more icing needed for any of the cake. Just looking at this cake causes me both indifference and nausea.
The first two sentences of this story are perfect. I didn't feel like reading the rest because I felt that the first two sentences framed it. The rest is the aforementioned cake.
I don't think I should be overly excited about Ron Paul being allowed to participate in a debate on Fox. Not just the fruitlessness of it all, but come on, it's FOX. I hate fox.
Bunches of places are reporting that Bin Laden is dead. What could that mean? Will terrorism rise as new leaders vie for position?
And from the aforementioned debate, comes this gem from Ron Paul: "You’re saying now that we have to continue borrowing more money from China to finance this empire we can’t afford. Let me see if I get this right. We need to borrow $10 million from China, and then we give it to (Pakistani President Pervez) Musharraf, who is a military dictator who overthrew an elected government, and then we go to war, we lose all these lives, promoting democracy in Iraq. I mean what’s going on here? And you're saying (I am) not appealing to Republicans?" Paul continued.
There's not much left, really.
