I Am Still Ill

This song still drives nails through my heart in so many ways. I remember seeing the smiths at public hall in Cleveland right after the queen is dead came out. I remember Morrisey writhing in pain on the floor singing the question 'Am I Still Ill?'?

but what strikes me the most is the beautiful sound of Johnny Marr's guitar as he plays an incredible melody, changing and drifting, throughout the entire song. There is no simple strum here, there is a perfectly structured layout of notes that culminates in what may be the greatest smiths song ever.

Here it is live, as it should be but will most likely never be again.
